



Dr. Donald Menzel
Public Administration Theory, Public Organizations, Ethics, Local Government
Professor Menzel received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 1973, a Master's of Art degree in political science from Miami University (Ohio) in 1968, and a B.A. degree in mathematics from Southern Illinois University in 1961. He has been a member of the faculties at West Virginia University (1973-84) and the University of South Florida (1984-98) where he served as Director of the Public Administration Program and the Institute of Government. He served six years in the 1960s in the United States Air Force as a navigator/bombardier on B-52s. His research interests include ethics in local government, ethics pedagogy, city and county government politics and management, intergovernmental relations, public organizational management, and ethical issues associated with information technology. He has served as a member of the editorial boards of Public Integrity, State and Local Government Review, Global Virtue Review, and the PA Times. He currently serves as a member of the National Council of the American Society for Public Administration and the NASPAA Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation.
